Progetti attivi

Training in simulation is the beating heart of the Center, but it is certainly not his only activity. The work carried out covers many areas, and there are truly revolutionary projects under development in the drawer.

The setting of our work is always multidisciplinary and based on the search for innovative solutions.

Over the years, thanks to public funding and private donations, we have achieved various goals.

International cooperation

The NINA center, which for years has been involved in national education and neonatal safety issues, has expanded its horizons over the past few years, also engaging on the international front.

During 2017, two professionals of the U.O. of Neonatology, dott. Massimiliano Ciantelli and nurse Stefania Marcacci, participated, together with other tuscan health agencies, in a project of international health cooperation in the mother-child field. The two professionals spent two weeks in two Kenyan hospitals, the North Kinangop Catholic Hospital and the Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital, to train local personnel.

The month of February 2018 saw the birth of a new international cooperation project involving the Nina Center. Professor Zahra Ben Said Marrakchi, president of the Tunisian Neonatology Society and director of the Neonatology department of the Hopital Charles-Nicolle in Tunis (Faculté de Médecine de Tunis, University Tunis El Manar), asked for the collaboration of the Centro Nina and the U.O. of Neonatology of Pisa in view of the opening, scheduled for 2019, of the new 3rd level Neonatology ward in Tunis.
